I’m doing a bit of market research, I recently purchased Hostgasm.com and I plan on offering hosting in the future. But first, I would like to know more about your current host, why you chose them, and how its going for you.

I have a need to store around 50 GB of files online and have them accessible to others - either publicly or via a shared password arrangement. While the total space needed is fairly large (and will likely grow slowly, with time) the total traffic will likely be fairly small as well (besides the initial upload of the files, I would expect 10 gb or less of traffic per month.) Ideally upload access would be via ftp or webdav or some type of client and download would be via http.

Have a client that wanted to host their own email but leave the website on the hosting - current host is being difficult about it saying it’s an all or nothing game with them… Their domain is registered through network solutions and the only thing I can do is remove the dns servers and basically bypass the current host and take control from there.
